Programs

TGA provides youth development programs for PK-8th grade students. TGA conducts a five level after school enrichment program that takes place primarily at elementary schools and youth centers across the United States. Created by golf professionals, USTA professionals and education experts, TGA’s curriculum include lesson plans that are fun, safe and educational. TGA programs can be conducted indoors or out, on concrete or grass, and year-round by utilizing fields, blacktops, gyms and hallways. As students matriculate through the five level program, TGA provides opportunities for students to apply the skills they have achieved to the golf course and tennis courts through transition programs such as TGA camps, tournaments and clinics at partner golf and tennis facilities.

All TGA programs serve as an extension of the classroom by incorporating the following components:

  • Instruction that is age-appropriate, effective and retainable
  • Character development lessons through our initiative “Play the Fair Way with TGA”
  • Physical education and fitness
  • Rules & Etiquette lessons
  • STEM Education lessons

Every TGA student receives a custom Student Handbook that includes all lessons plus interactive activities, skill challenges and notes. TGA provides all necessary equipment, including multiple sizes of junior golf clubs and racquets that properly fit students ages 3-16 and innovative modified balls.   All TGA instructors are certified through an extensive training program.

“My son Matt’s big wish for the summer was to go to golf camp. I signed him up in March to be sure I saved him a spot at one of TGA’s camps. II was then laid off late April, and it was looking like I would not be able to afford to send my son to camp. Nate told me that the TGA Sports Foundation provides scholarships to kids that want to try golf, but would not be able to on their own. I contacted the Foundation and the rest is history. My son got to live his summer dream of playing golf because of TGASF! Thank you.”

The excitement on his face, the knowledge he is gaining and the skills he is developing all point to a positive golf experience. An experience, which will not only help him today, or even just tomorrow, but forever.  Golf is a lifelong sport. Again, I write this with sincere gratitude for the chance to be part of such a spectacular program.
