Page styling: Why you need it & how to do it properly

Heading tags, as the name implies, are tags that are used for the creations of headings. The most important tag is the <h1> heading tag, and will usually be the title of a post. Heading tags have a top-down hierarchy from <h1> to <h6>.

On a category page that H1 would be the category name and on a product page the product name. It’s not that hard, indeed. That is why we still recommend using the H1 this way.

H2 is for subheadings of that H1. Use it to divide content into scannable blocks; both Google and your visitor will like it. H3 is for subheadings of that H2, preferably.

On to what YOUR H Tags look like when you implement them:

This is what H1 text looks like

This is what H2 text looks like

This is what H3 text looks like

This is what H4 text looks like

This is what H5 text looks like

This is basic paragraph text. A bolded piece of text looks like this, an italicized piece of text looks like this and an underlined piece of text looks like this. When you create a link, it will look like this.

Your bulleted lists will look like this:

  • item one
  • item two
  • item three
  • item four

Your numbered lists will look like this:

  1. item one
  2. item two
  3. item three
  4. item four

If you have a quote from a client it will look like this:

I love the energy and dedication that the TGA Foundation has for their kids.
